An initial evaluation ranges from 60 to 90 minutes consisting of an uninterrupted history taking, a full body assessment, and a plan moving forward that therapist and patient agree upon. The time frame depends on symptom presentation and how long one has had such symptoms. Wrapping up the visit, all of your questions will be answered about your assessment, a home program will be discussed, future visits will be scheduled (as appropriate), and payment will be collected.

What can I expect on follow up appointments?

A follow up session ranges from 45 to 60 minutes. Each session consist of an assessment, as needed manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular re-education, specific prescribed movements and exercises followed by education on maintaining progression between sessions.

Do I need a referral?

No, currently in the state of Louisiana, a referral is not required to see a physical therapist. A physician signature is obtained within 30 days as a complimentary form of communication.

What if my physician refers me to another therapy clinic?

You have a choice!! A referral from a physician can be taken wherever you want to receive care. Take control of your health and seek care that works for you and with you.

Why is Magnolia Movement an Out of Network provider?

At Magnolia Movement, we value patient centered care and quality care for your time. In-network physical therapy clinics are limited by insurance. Insurance can dictate what treatments are approved for payment. This results in treatment decisions being driven by re-imbursement rates.

Being Out of Network allows at Magnolia Movement to provide medically relevant treatment based on the individual’s symptom presentation which allows more efficient progression to your goals. In this frame work, we are able to provide one on one attention from a doctor through your entire visit and get you better faster.

Unfortunately, at this time, Medicare rules prohibit us from accepting person’s with Medicare coverage for therapy services, even if you would like to pay our cash rates.

Can I submit a claim to my insurance?

Yes, your bill for services will be available to submit to your insurance for reimbursement directly back to you. A form will be completed with the assistance of your therapist if you wish. Do not let financial hurdles keep you from the care that you deserve.

How often and for how long will I be seen?

Depending on the individual person, patients are seen 1 – 2 times a week decreasing frequency as progression is made. Discharge is discussed with patient goals in mind. Care is a continuous process insuring that function is obtained, maintained, and further injury avoided.
